An Open Thank You Letter to My Mom

Dear Mom, Now that I am a Mom myself, I realize there are so many things you must have gone through raising three kids that I never understood until now. I wanted to write to you to share with you, and anyone else who wants to hear about you, how grateful I am for everything you do. First of all, thanks for deciding that one child was not enough for you and Dad. Imagine if you were a one and done kind of family? Thank you for safely keeping me in your womb for months, all while chasing Alison around I'm sure. I know you expected me to be a boy, or probably wanted a boy since you already had a girl. Thank you for always making me feel special, even though I was the second born. Thank you for my middle name. I carry Christopher in my heart forever and always. Thank you for the gift of the best guardian angel that I never knew, but I know that I have. I feel him with me all the time. He's my silent cheerleader. Thank you for your patience. Motherhood "challenge" - Stop the madness

I almost started a Facebook rant about this stupid motherhood challenge topic, but then I decided my thoughts would be better fleshed out into a blog since I haven't written one in a very long time. ***Disclaimer: It is Day 3 of my juice cleanse, so all bets are off as far as my craziness goes. Over Lent, I decided to give up social media sites like Facebook and Instagram.  Sort of a social media cleanse, if you will.  My sister in law inspired me. She's been off of social media for what seems like forever and has not looked back. I didn't think I could do it.  I wanted to do it, but couldn't find it in me to give up the friends and family from far away that I keep in touch with on FB.  So instead I deleted a bunch of people.  My close friends refer to this stage in my life as "the purge".  I went through my FB friends list and I deleted about 800 people.
